DINDIGUL: Eighty counterfeit currency notes of Rs.500 denomination were seized by the police during a surprise check here on Monday. Police arrested R.Raju (65) of Musiri in Tiruchi district and seized the counterfeit notes. Preliminary enquiries revealed that the accused had been dealing with onion and groundnut business in the town. He had allegedly confessed to having obtained thenotes from a trader in Coimbatore district after paying just Rs.10,000 in cash.
