For the benefit of the pilgrims visiting the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in connection with the ongoing 'Vaikunda Ekadasi Mahotsavam', the Southern Railway authorities have opened a passenger reservation counter and an unreserved ticket counter in the Ranga Vilas mandapam on the temple premises.

These counters, which were opened on Tuesday, would function up to January 13.

The PRS counter will function from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. on all working days except Sunday.

On Sunday, the counter will function from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The unreserved ticket counter will function from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 6 p.m. on all days up to January 13.

Passengers can obtain the ticket to any destination from these counters, railway sources here said.

The railway timetables in English and Hindi would also be sold here, sources added.

Police outpost

A police outpost has also been opened on the temple premises in connection with the festival.
