A smiling picture of M.S. Dhoni along with the Chennai Super Kings set in the extremely picturesque Dharamsala Cricket Stadium, pictures of the first Tibetan monastery in India, the first Tibetan school in India and even stupas dominated the Tibet in Exile exhibition that concluded here on Sunday.
The exhibition itself was divided in two parts — Modern Day Tibet and the life of Tibetans who moved out of Tibet following the Dalai Lama’s exile in 1970.
One of the main reasons for the exhibition is to thank the Indian Government who has provided us shelter for so many years, Tashi Phuntsok Barling, Director of the Tibet Museum in Dharamsala said.
These days, it is very rare to see photographs of modern day Tibet, he said.
The exhibition at the Tibetan Pavilion in Auroville was organised by the Tibet Museum, Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibet Administration in Dharamsala. After Puducherry, the exhibition moves to Coimbatore.
