A team of experts from Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Bangalore, will visit Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple, Tiruvannamalai, on Thursday to inspect the old paintings found in Thirukalyana Mandapam of the temple.

P. Dhanapal, Joint Commissioner/Executive Officer of the temple, said, “The team consists of Madu Rani, Director of INTACH, Bangalore, and two other conservators will inspect paintings. They will submit a report consisting of recommendations for their preservation and estimate.”

Arresting leakages

Mr. Dhanapal also said that steps were being taken to arrest leakages in the ceiling of the Thirukalyana Mandapam.
