Over 200 applications come in every day
Parents and students have begun to throng the Erode Taluk office seeking certificates such as community, income and first-graduate certificates, as only a few weeks are left for the re-opening of schools and colleges.
The office receives more than 200 applications every day. A majority of the applications have been submitted seeking community and income certificates.
“We also receive a significant number of applications from students seeking first-graduate certificate, required to apply for the scheme in which government bears the tuition fees for their professional education,” revenue officials say.
The Taluk office has made special arrangements to process the applications and issue the certificates to the applicants quickly.
“We make sure that the applications are processed within a day. We have deputed adequate number of personnel to process the applications,” Tahsildar G. Rajagopal says.
The Revenue officials have asked the parents and students not to affix revenue stamps in their applications seeking community, income, nativity and first-graduate certificates.
They also appealed to the people not to approach the middlemen to apply for various certificates.
“People can directly approach the respective Taluk offices to apply for the certificates,” they say.
