Delegates will be on the trip between April 20 and May 6

To explore technological advances adopted in various industries in Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy and Dubai, so as to infuse or upgrade micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the district, a team of 30 delegates would be visiting these countries between April 20 and May 6.

Organised by The Salem Productivity Council (SPC), with the support under International Cooperation Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, the 15-day programme is aimed at learning new technologies that would in turn help entrepreneurs to modernise their units and help in promotion of their exports.

The tour is also aimed at looking for joint ventures and foreign collaborations. The team would also be visiting ‘USETEC 2013’, an International Trade Fair at Cologne, Germany.

K. Mariappan, president of SPC said that Council General Gregory Rethore, Business Developer of Vosges German Council, a State in France, had visited Salem and invited this delegation to visit their country.

The delegates would also interact with the office bearers of Chamber of Commerce, the Vosges Companies about business opportunities and would also be visiting paper production, wooden floors, wooden panels, fibre-cement factories and weaving industries.

A business discussion is arranged with the units at Mire Court-Juvain Court Industrial Area in Vosges which is a strategic, economic and European hub located in the heart of Europe.

The delegates consists of entrepreneurs from sago and starch Industries, food industries, textile and weaving industries, silver ornaments manufacturers, coir products, stainless steel product manufacturers and mineral-based industries.
