The Waves Drawing Competition’, conducted by Trees, a Ranipet-based non-governmental organisation and Waves Showroom, in connection with Children’s Day here on Sunday drew an enthusiastic response.

According to Srinivasan Venkatraman, partner, Trees and Waves Showroom, the NGO received entries from about 1400 students from various schools. Of them, 200 were short-listed for the finals. Three students were selected from each of the four groups, Group-A (LKG to Class II), Group-B (Class III to V), Group-C (Class VI to VIII) and Group-D (Class IX to XII).

Following are the prize winners:

Group-A: I prize - P. Harshini (Class I, Ida Scudder School); II prize - T. Chandru (Class II, WORTH Trust School for Hearing Impaired); III prize - P. Harshitha (Class I, Ida Scudder School).

Group-B: I prize - S. Chandru (Class V, WORTH Trust School); II prize - J.N. Kanishkar (Class III, Ethiraj Matriculation Higher Secondary School); III prize - R. Uma (Class IV, Sunbeam CBSE School).

Group-C: I prize - G. Shruthisaraswathi (Class VII, Holy Cross MHSS); II prize - Sabeel Tabassum (Class VIII, K.H. Matriculation School); III prize - M. Gaja Priya (Class VII, Holy Cross MHSS).

Group-D: I prize - U. Dinesh (Class XII, WORTH School); II prize - J.V. Keertana (Class IX, Ethiraj MHSS); III prize - R. Goutham (Class XII, Ethiraj MHSS).
