DMK leader M. K. Alagiri’s son Durai Dayanathi has filed an undertaking at the Madras High Court Bench here, in a petition to modify the conditions of his anticipatory bail.
Mr. Durai had sought return of his passport which he surrendered at the Judicial Magistrate Court in Melur following the directions of the Bench. In his undertaking, he said, “I will inform the court of the schedule of my departure and arrival in advance through my counsel to the JM. I pray that the court accepts the affidavit and pass orders,” he pleaded. He moved the court seeking the return of his passport citing the nature of his business. His counsel John Satyan contended that Mr. Durai owns a movie production house and has business interests abroad, making it necessary for him to travel overseas frequently. Justice K. B. K. Vasuki is likely to deliver her judgment on Thursday.
