Coimbatore: Sleuths of Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Monday conducted a drive against ticketless travel in Coimbatore and booked 88 persons and realised Rs 27,000 as penalty from them.

The drive was ordered by the Assistant Security Commissioner, Morris Fernandez under instructions from the Divisional Security Commissioner. The drive was conducted by special teams led by Inspector N. Keshavadoss and Sub-Inspector Vijaykumar. Officials said that the drive would be sustained.
