District Collector Dr. K.S. Palanisamy on Tuesday released the draft electoral roll for the district.

According to the officials, a total of 9,02,823 voters have been registered in the voter list which includes 4,50,192 men, 4,52,563 women and 68 others.

The district has four Assembly constituencies – Andipatti, Periakulam, Bodinayakkanur and Cumbum.

Special camps would be held at designated locations on October 6, 20 and 27 and voters whose names did not figure in the electoral rolls and those who completed 18 years of age as on January 1, 2014 could enrol their names.

The voters could also apply for making corrections in the name and address, it said. Forms for inclusion and deletion of names would also be available at Muncipal, RDO, Taluk and VAO offices, it added.


In Dindigul, a total of 15,31,989 voters have been registered which include, 7,68,665 women, 7,68,236 men and 88 others.

The district has seven Assembly constituencies – Palani, Oddanchathiram, Athur, Nilakottai, Natham, Dindigul and Vedasandur.

The electoral roll was released by Collector N. Venkatachalam, a release also said.
