Officials of various government departments have been asked to maintain movement of service records of the retiring employees and officers to avert delay in sanctioning terminal benefits to the retirees such as pension, Provident Fund etc.

Presiding over the pensioners' grievance meeting at the collectorate on Tuesday, Collector V. Arun Roy said that the delay in receiving service records has put the retirees into hardship while sanctioning the terminal benefits.

The registers should be verified by the officials of the treasury departments and convene meetings and ensure quick disbursal of terminal benefits to retiring employees/officers.

Of this, no response were received on 11 petitions relating to Education, Rural Development, Revenue, Health, Sericulture, Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Hosur Cattle Farm, Town

Panchayats, Government Industrial Technical Institutes, check posts of Commercial Tax Departments etc.

Of the 46 petitions received prior to the meeting, responses were received for 35 petitions. The meeting was held in the presence of R. Tenzon, Deputy Director, Directorate of Pensions, at the collectorate.

C. Prakasam, District Revenue Officer and other district level officials participated in the meeting.
