From candidates of Backward and Most Backward Classes and Denotified communities

TIRUCHI: The district administration has invited applications for the free vocational training programmes to be conducted for candidates belonging to the Backward and Most Backward Classes and Denotified communities.

The programmes include a Diploma in Computer Applications, Introduction to Web Designing, Diploma in 2 D and 3 D Animation and certificate programme on Medical Lab Technician. Candidates, who have completed 30 years of age as on October 1, 2006, with Plus Two qualification would be eligible to apply for the programmes.

A certificate course on Radiological Assistant would be open for candidates, who have completed 25 years of age as on October 1, 2006, with Plus Two qualification.

Medical transcription course would be open for candidates, who have completed 28 years of age, with Plus Two qualification.

Diploma holders, who were 30 years age on the same date, could apply for a P.G. Diploma programme in Hotel Management.

Open for both men and women

The programmes, to be held at Chennai, would be open for both men and women.

Interviews for the programme would be held at the Office of the Backward Classes and Denotified Communities Welfare Office situated in the Chennai Collector's Office campus on February 27 and 28.

Interested candidates can appear for the interviews along with relevant certificates, the Collector Ashish Vachhani said in a press release.
