CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed the authorities to maintain status quo in respect of the service conditions of five temporary computer instructors working in government higher secondary schools.

This followed writ petitions filed by them. K. Selvaraj, counsel, submitted before Justice P. Jyothimani, that as per the court direction, the petitioners were permitted to write the special test for filling the posts. However, they apprehended that before publication of the results, their services might be terminated. The judge said he was directing the authorities to maintain status quo in respect of the service conditions. The matter has been posted for November 14.
