An agitation was staged by the members of the Tamil Nadu Association for the Rights of All Types of Differently Abled and Caregivers in front of the taluk office in Hosur on Thursday.

The agitation was organised demanding that the authorities disburse monthly assistance to the differently abled persons without any delay. The agitation was led by S. Nambnrajan, State Secretary of the association in the presence of N. Shyamala, district president, C. Murugesan, district secretary and P. Muniraj, district committee member.

Over hundred members, including 80 women, took part in the agitation. Collector T.P. Rajesh held discussion with the office-bearers and promised them that steps would be taken to distribute assistance to 106 beneficiaries within 15 days after verifying the cause of the delay.
