Dental camp for students begins

A four-day free dental camp for students studying in Government schools in Hosur Education District began at the Mathigiri Government High School and Elementary School near here on Monday.

D.R. Vasudevan, president, Hosur Rotary Club, told The Hindu that the club organised such health camps regularly for the benefit of the government school students in rural areas.

During the first two days of the screening camp, 1,600 students were screened.

The screening camp was held at Andhiwadi Government High School and Urdu Elementary School on Tuesday.

The 350 students who were having dental problem would be taken to the Oxford Dental College on February 11 and 12 by the Rotary Club for further treatment.

The cost of the treatment would be borne by the Rotary Club.

Dentists explained to the students methods to maintain healthy teeth.
