Police sources said Kalpana Sharma (22) and Anu (20) had come to their relatives’ place in Anna Nagar. On Friday night, they were taken to a restaurant at Vadapalani for dinner by their aunt Anitha (35). When the car was moving out of the restaurant, three persons barged into the vehicle and threatened the driver at knife-point to drive as per their directions. After taking the contact numbers of the family members, they demanded a ransom of Rs. 20 lakh to free the victims.
