Dharmapuri: The District Election Department has asked residual voters to take photographs for inclusion in the photo electoral rolls within March 23.

In a statement issued here on Friday, Collector Pankaj Kumar Bansal said that the door-to-door verification and photographing of voters was underway in all Assembly constituencies in Dharmapuri district. The District Election Department has deleted the names of 37,284 voters across the district after a detailed inquiry. As part of the exercise, notices have been issued to 1,20,499 voters who have shifted their residence before deleting their names.

He asked the voters to appear in person before the Village Administrative Officers with proof of residence and photographs to get their Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC). If they failed to appear before the stipulated time, their names would be deleted from the list.
