VELLORE: The Postal Department will be conducting a divisional-level Dak Adalat (public postal grievances day meeting) at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (SSP), Vellore Division, located in the Head Post Office building here at 11 a.m. on April 8.

According to a release, postal customers having grievances and complaints relating to services may send their complaints/representations to Santhanaraman, SSP, Vellore Division, by ordinary post/registered post/Speed Post, so as to reach the office of the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Vellore Division, on or before April 5.


The SSP said in his release that the complaints pertaining to registered/insured/value paid articles/money orders should contain full details such as date/office of posting, sender's/addressee's particulars, along with photocopy of the receipt.

Complaints pertaining to savings scheme should contain details of the account number, while complaints pertaining to rural postal life insurance should contain name and address of the insurant, policy number and other details.

In person

Customers who desire to be heard in person could visit the office of SSP at 11 a.m. on April 8.

Their complaints and grievances would be heard at the adalat.
