MADURAI: The Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers' Association will host a cultural night with a variety of entertainment programmes to convey a "good message" on Saturday at Sri Prasanna Venkatachalapathy Temple ground at Tallakulam.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, its Madurai district secretary, N. Sridhar, said the association would introduce a "healthy" art to the people providing them an alternative to the monotonous cinema and television channels.
Every programme in the event would carry a good message in an attempt to protect the Tamil culture and tradition.
The Collector, T. Udhayachandran, will be the chief guest.
The association has declared 2007 as the year of "appreciating works of art."
