TIRUNELVELI: Tamil Nadu had become a haven for mercenaries as the people were witnessing gruesome murders across the State for the past few days, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Vaiko alleged. Addressing a gathering at Thatchanallur on the outskirts of Tirunelveli on Wednesday, Mr. Vaiko said that two persons, including a top Central Government official, were murdered in Chennai in front of their family members in a gruesome fashion, which showed the involvement of mercenaries.
He came down heavily on electricity theft and power cut. Party office-bearers K.M.A. Nizam, P.A. Saravanan and ‘Minnal' Mohamed Ali accompanied Mr. Vaiko, who later addressed the public in several villages of Palayamkottai and Cheranmahadevi unions.
