The State Government's Department of Art and Culture here has announced the results of the winners in the Tiruchi district-level art competitions in vocal, dance and painting conducted recently by the Jawahar Bal Bhavan of the centre at K.A.P.Viswanatham school at Thillainagar here.

According to a release from R.Gunasekaran, Assistant Director, Regional Art and Culture, Tiruchi, as many as 244 children (both boys and girls) in different age groups took part in the competition viz. 58 children in vocal, 26 in dance and 160 in painting. The following are the winners in different competitions:

Vocal recital

5 to 8 years: K.S.Karishma of Railway HSS

9 to 12 years: S.Jayabhargavi, Mahatma Gandhi Vidyalaya school.

13 to 16 years: S.Jayamathangi of RSK HSS

Dance

5 to 8 years: S.Subiksha of Railway HSS.

9 to 12 years: R.Gayathri of Global School. 13 to 16 years: R.Divyasri of Railway HSS.

Painting

5 to 8 years: S. Pranav of Kamala Niketan Montessori School.

9 to 12 years: S.Premkumar of Boiler Plant HSS.

13 to 16 years: P.Manishankar of Alpha Plus Matriculation HSS.The winners in the age groups of to 12 and 13 to 16 in all the three competitions would of vocal, dance and painting are selected to participate in the State-level competitions.
