CHENNAI: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has condemned the State government for its recent order on filling posts in government departments with retired employees and with contract workers.

In a statement here on Wednesday, party’s State secretary N.Varadarajan said the move would affect the future of thousands of unemployed people who had registered with employment exchanges. He wanted the government to withdraw the order and recruit unemployed youth who were in the live registers of the employment exchanges. PMK founder S.Ramadoss demanded that the government withdraw its order. Instead, it should appoint on contract persons who had registered in employment exchanges on the basis of their seniority, he added.
