Communist Party of India (Marxist) members observed fast at four places in the city and staged demonstrations in another two places on Sunday to bring to the notice of the Corporation administration, the difficulties faced by the city residents.

They highlighted issues such as inadequate supply of drinking water, bad roads and poor implementation of the solid waste management project.

CPI (M) district secretary K. Kamaraj reiterated the need to augment the quantum of drinking water by implementing an additional drinking water scheme.
