CHENNAI: After hearing arguments for over eight days, the Madras High Court has reserved its orders on cases relating to Chennai Corporation poll violence.

A Division Bench comprising Justice S.J. Mukhopadhaya and Justice F.M. Ibrahim Kalifulla reserved their orders on Thursday.

The petitioners, who included the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam and some independent candidates, who had contested the polls, had moved the court on October 13, alleging largescale poll violence, rigging and booth capturing.

They have prayed for cancellation of elections to all the 155 wards in Chennai Corporation.
