Co-optex woos customers with new scheme

Co-optex stores across central districts have announced ‘buy two, get one free' scheme on the entire range of co-optex products sold at the outlets. The scheme will be made available across the outlets till April 2.

Co-optex in Tiruvarur district has set a sales target of Rs. 45 lakh this year, said S.Natarajan, Collector, here on Saturday. He inaugurated the concessional sales scheme announced by the State government to commemorate the 78th year of Co-optex at Tiruvarur Co-optex showroom. Under the scheme, if people purchase two articles, one will be free, and this concession is available from March 17 to April 2. This is applicable to all items from handkerchief to silk saris from Arni, Thirubuvanam and Kanchipuram. Besides, 20 per cent rebate is offered on purchase of goods worth Rs.1,999, and 25 per cent on goods worth from Rs.2,000 to Rs. 4,999, and 30 per cent on goods worth Rs 5,000 and above. He said a sales target of Rs.12 lakh has been fixed for Tiruvarur co-optex, Rs.5 lakh for Mannargudi, Rs.17 lakh for Thithuraipoondi, and Rs.11 lakh for Valangaiman Co-optex. V.N.Dhandapani, Regional Manager of Co-optex, was present, said a release here on Saturday.

Perambalur

The scheme was inaugurated by Collector Darez Ahmed at its outlet here on Saturday.

The ‘buy two, get one free' scheme would be available on the entire range of Co-optex products.

While 20 per cent discount would be offered on purchases up to Rs.1,999; 25 per cent discount would be given for purchases between Rs.2,000 and Rs.4,999. For purchase above Rs.5,000 a discount of 30 per cent would be offered.

Pudukottai

The scheme was inaugurated at the Co-optex showrooms in Pudukottai and Aranthangi towns in the district. The scheme, aims at selling the handloom stock of Rs.30 lakh at these showrooms, said Collector B. Maheswari shortly after inaugurating sale.

She appealed to the people to utilise the special sale scheme. M. Sulaiman, manager of the showroom, was present.

Ariyalur

A sales target of Rs.25 lakh has been fixed for the two showrooms of Co-optex, said Collector Anu George. She inaugurated sales at the showroom here, in the presence of Govindaraj, senior regional manager, Thanjavur and Gomathymuthu, manager.
