The Co-Optex has fixed a sales target of Rs. 1.70 crore for the district for the Deepavali festival this year, said S. Sundararaj, Minister for Handlooms and Textiles. Inaugurating the sales target at the Mukkani here, Mr. Sundararaj said the Co-Optex has introduced various schemes, attracting the people. N. Subramanian, Minister for Adi Dravidar Welfare, said the sales target for the financial year was Rs. 2.70 crore. C. Manoharan, Collector, said that attractive designs and low-priced silk saris attracted customers.
