The Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society at Billicombai near Kotagiri was burgled on Saturday night. The police sources told The Hindu that on Sunday morning the main door of the society was found broken. A cash chest with Rs. 65,000 in cash and jewellery worth about Rs. 31 lakh had been removed by the burglars. Superintendent of Police T.Senthilkumar inspected the scene of crime and formed a team to nab the culprits.
