VILLUPURAM: The sixth convocation day of IFET College of Engineering was held on the college premises here on Sunday.

Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Open University M.S. Palanichamy awarded degrees to 169 candidates. He said that for achieving success in career, the students should pay attention to three important aspects - time management, aspiration and respect for parents.

He appreciated the initiatives taken by the college in moulding the students to cope with the technological revolutions. The top rankers in the college who were honoured on the occasion included Udayalakshmi (information technology), Hemavathi (computer science engineering), Pradeep Balu (mechanical engineering), Umar Ali (electronics and communication engineering) and Thirunavukkarasu (electrical and electronic engineering). K. Venugopal, trust member of IFET, V. Raja, chairman, A. Mohamed Ilayas, vice-chairman, Shivaram Alwa, secretary, and S.S.Jayachandran, principal, participated.
