MADURAI: With the objective of enhancing awareness in three key areas of the information technology industry – technology, business model and suppliers – the Madurai zone of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has planned to organise ‘Connect Madurai 2009’ on December 5.
The event, in its third edition, will be a meeting ground of IT entrepreneurs, service providers and bureaucrats.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Bharath K.S., chairman, Madurai zone, said the CII had organised the event with the aim of creating global players among the micro, small and medium players of the southern districts in the IT industry.
Aravind Srinivasan, vice-chairman, said that representatives from Microsoft India, Yahoo India and Tata Consultancy Services, besides P.W.C. Daivdar, Secretary, Information Technology, will participate in the event which will be inaugurated by Poongothai Aladi Aruna, Minister for Information Technology, at The Gateway Hotel.
