Vellore constituency candidate Vijay Ilanchezhiyan (33) is the son of former MP A. Jayamohan.

Dr. Prasad, who is a medical doctor, served as MLA for Cheyyar from 2006 to 2011. He held various party positions, including State president of the Tamil Nadu Youth Congress (2003-06), and State vice-president of Tamil Nadu Indian National Trade Union Congress. He was Congress observer for the selection of candidates in Kerala for the 2009 Parliamentary elections.

Mr. Vijay Ilanchezhiyan, who is an engineer, has served as general secretary of the State Youth Congress from 2010-12. He later became its vice-president, a position he still holds in addition to being State president in-charge. ‘Naesey’ R. Rajesh (34), Congress candidate for the Arakkonam constituency, is the son of ‘Naesey’ J. Ramachandran, founder president of NAESEY (National Association for Educated and Self-Employed Youth). A native of Tiruttani, he is noted for having organised several free vocational training centres and imparted training on behalf of NAESEY to thousands of youth in the northern districts of Tamil Nadu to enable them to become self-employed. A. Subramanian (55), the party candidate for Tiruvannamalai constituency, is a practicing lawyer in Tiruvannamalai. He served as Tiruvannamalai District Congress Committee president from 1997 to 2000, and as member of All India Congress Committee.
