MADURAI: Kalasalingam University in Krishnankoil of Virudhunagar district will host the 75th annual conference of Indian Mathematical Society from December 27.
About 400 participants from all over the country and the USA are expected to participate in the four-day conference that will feature paper presentations, symposia and plenary and memorial award lectures by eminent mathematicians.
It will be inaugurated by K. Thulasiraman, Professor, Hitachi Chair in Computer Science, University of Oklahoma. Peeyush Chandra of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, will preside over the conference.
According to a press release from S. Arumugam, Director, National Centre for Advanced Research in Discreet Mathematics, Kalasalingam University, the organising secretary, a stamp on Indian Mathematical Society will be released on December 27 by the Department of Posts.
