CHENNAI: A 24/7 automatic computerised telephone service for registering public grievances/complaints has been installed at the control room of the DGP office here.

Public in the State and even outside the State may use the facility. Their representations would be immediately forwarded to the police officer/police station concerned.

The phone numbers are: BSNL line: 044-28447200 and TATA Indicom line: 044-64555100 and 64556100.

Those who require emergency help may also dial 100, as usual, the release said. — Special Correspondent
