The Anti Corruption Movement has lodged a complaint with the Rathinapuri police stating that a political party, using its name, had identified a few contestants as corrupt in a pamphlet issued in Ward 49. In a compliant, N.K. Velu, Secretary of the Movement, said that the political party had issued the pamphlet on Saturday. This had affected the Movement's reputation. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under Sections 419 (cheating by impersonation), 465 (creating a false document) and 471 (using a forged document for cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
