Thinkcore Technologies, a firm under incubation in the VIT-Technology Business Incubator (VIT-TBI) is one of the 50 companies selected for global awards instituted by the infoDev programme of the World Bank group.

According to a VIT release, under its ‘Access to Markets and Finance' programme to facilitate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from its global network of business incubators, infoDev had invited proposals for an award titled, ‘Top 50 SMEs'.

InfoDev received 750 nominations from 63 countries and Thinkcore Technologies is one of the 50 recipients of the award.

One of the promising start-ups promoted by VIT-TBI, Thinkcore Technologies, received a seed fund of Rs.20 lakh from the TBI to build and test its first product, ‘Pebble Talk' enterprise collaboration software.

The firm is also a recipient of ‘Red Herring Global 100' award for the year 2010.

Narendra Aswatha Narayana, Chief Executive Officer of Thinkcore Technologies will be receiving the award during the Global Forum on Business Incubation scheduled for May in Helsinki, Finland.
