TAMBARAM: Irate bus commuters staged a protest after the State Government bus to Tiruvannamalai broke down at Pallavaram on the GST Road on Tuesday. The passengers were travelling in a special bus for Tiruvannamalai for the monthly `Girivalam' on the full moon day. The bus broke down between Pallavaram and Chromepet. The crew assured the passengers that they would be accommodated in other buses, but all services were full. The agitated passengers then staged a protest, resulting in disruption of traffic on the arterial National Highway 45 for a brief while.
