CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Government Collegiate Teachers' Association (TNGCTA) has urged Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi not to accept the report on unitary universities submitted by the V.C. Kulandai Swamy Committee.

In a release, K.G. Palani, president, TNGCTA, stated that the committee had not fully consulted the main stakeholders – students, teachers and non-teaching staff. The tuition fee structure and service conditions of teachers may not be fully protected if the colleges were turned into unitary universities. — Special Correspondent
