Collectors and government staff take anti-terrorism oath

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi

Collector M. Vallalar and the employees of government departments took anti-terrorism oath on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at the Collectorate at 12 p.m. on Friday.

District Revenue Officer P. Ganesan, deputy collectors, tahsildars and other officials took the oath.

They also took the pledge to preserve communal harmony and oppose secessionist and fissiparous tendencies.

Theni

In Theni district, Collector A. Karthik and other officials took the pledge in the Collectorate.

The Anti-Terrorism Day was also observed in the district.

The death anniversary of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is observed as Anti-Terrorism Day.

Though the leader's death anniversary falls only on May 21, the pledge was taken one day before since May 21 is a holiday.
