Nagercoil: Necessary steps would be taken to provide infrastructure in Kanyakumari on a par with international standards to boost the visit of both domestic and foreign tourists, said the new Collector Rajendra Ratnoo, who took charge on Friday. The outgoing Collector, Rajendra Kumar handed over the charge to him. Later speaking to presspersons, he said that all the schemes implemented by the previous Collector would be continued in future, especially e-mail service in various fields.

Importance would be given to youth who wanted to start medium and small-scale industries with an intention of creating employment opportunity for the unemployed. The district administration would explore ways and means to develop hidden sources, said the Collector.
