The 1987 M.B.B.S batch of Coimbatore Medical College has come forward to raise funds for their alma mater.

According to a press note, the batch purchased four hospital beds with manual hand cranks for the paediatric Intensive Care Unit of the CMCH.

It was handed over on Thursday to hospital authorities and R. Vimala, Dean of CMCH, thanked them for their contribution.

Deputy Medical Superintendent of CMCH, Isaac Christian Moses; Resident Medical Officer P. Sivaprakasam; and Head of the Department of Paediatrics Dr. Neelakandan lauded the 1987 batch for their act.

The alumnus team included, among others, E. Sundararaman, K. Sivakumar and Venkatachalam.
