The citizen consumer club was inaugurated at Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology, recently.

A. Raja Sekaran, District Supplies and Consumer Protection Officer, Pudukottai, was the chief guest, and he explained the steps taken by the government for the provision of quality products to the consumers.

The consumers should be aware of their rights and the students should play a vital role in creating awareness among the people.

S. Dhanavel, Pudukottai district president of the FEDCOT, said consumers should always keep vigil and leave no stone unturned to establish their rights.

S. Senthil Kumar, Tiruchi regional coordinator of the citizen consumer club, M. R. Arun, managing trustee of Saraswathi Educational and Health Trust, and Uma Arun, academic director of Pavendar Bharathidasan Institutions, offered felicitations.

K. Murugu Mohan Kumar, principal of the college, presided.
