COIMBATORE: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Coimbatore Zone, will work closely with the police in creating awareness about rules and initiatives.

The confederation had a meeting here recently with the police in which nearly 50 members participated.

They explained the problems, especially traffic and road-related ones, and sought solutions.

The police also urged the CII members to involve themselves in the initiatives of the police such as community policing. The CII member units should also create awareness on the new rules and regulations, such as first information report (FIR) at the door step and compulsory use of helmets, which were introduced for the benefit of the public.
