TIRUCHI: The Confederation of Indian Industry, Tiruchi Zone, has thanked the State Government for its decision to ease the power situation.

In a press release, Leo Ananth J, Chairman, CII Tiruchi Zone, welcomed the step to lift power restriction entirely for LT consumers and stated that it would help revitalise operations and productivity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in central Tamil Nadu, benefiting sectors like Energy Equipment Manufacturing, Home Textiles and Bus body building.

The move coinciding with the country’s economic revival would facilitate revamp of industrial activities in Central Tamil Nadu, he said, exuding hope that the Government would lift the remaining 30 per cent power cut for HT consumers at the earliest, thereby integrating large industries into the process of economic revival.

Ram D Vijji, Vice Chairman, CII Karur district, saw in the lifting of restrictions on power usage a real support to MSME in Karur, and appealed for incentives and concessions for HT consumers dependent on diesel or other energy sources to tide over the shortage.
