The witty one-liners and the flowing humour in the Crazy Mohan’s stage offering ‘Chocolate Krishna’ kept the audience in Erode spellbound for a little longer than an hour and a half.

The drama was staged as a part of the three-day The Hindu Kodai Summer Drama Festival at Kongu Kalaiarangam here on Saturday.

‘Chocolate Krishna’ scored well with the hilarious and imaginative incidents with Balaji playing Maadhu, a struggling salesmen in a chocolate company and an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna and Crazy Mohan as Lord Krishna with a pair of glasses and moustache.

Balaji’s timing, modulation and expressions and Mohan’s entry into Balaji’s house to solve his problems continued to tickle the funny bone in the drama. The witty one-liners and Crazy’s magic worked well and kept the audience engaging throughout the play. The last day of the festival, April 14, will feature Maham Enterprises Madhuvanthi Arun's Shakthi. The drama will commence at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the venue and The Hindu 's office at Greenpark Apartments at Periyar Nagar. Rates for the daily tickets are Rs. 150, Rs. 100 and Rs. 50.
