CHENNAI: A memorandum of understanding to promote trade ties, exchange business delegations and disseminate information among members was signed between the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce and the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Hindustan Chamber president Ashok R. Thakkar and Singapore Chamber chairman M. Rajaram signed the agreement in the presence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath at the Asia Pacific Business Summit 2006 held in Singapore recently. The agreement will facilitate India's export-import trade with other countries through Singapore. The chambers will conduct meetings to provide information on trade and investment opportunities in their countries.
