The Chief Educational Office in Nagercoil wore a festive look after the Government announced the SSLC examination results on Friday with the district recording the highest 97.29 pass percentage in the state.

Collector S. Nagarajan, officials from the Department of Education, teachers, presidents and office bearers of PT associations appreciated Chief Educational Officer A. S. Radhakrishnan, who was instrumental in achieving the highest pass percentage in the State.

The unique programme ‘in search of root’ ie going to the student’s house even in remote areas, meeting their parents and requesting them to motivate their wards to pursue the education yielded good result.

Moreover, the module given by the teachers was useful for the bright students, who could attend one word and two word questions and score high marks.

The elite class system introduced by the district administration to upgrade the knowledge of the teachers by increasing the pass percentage was appreciated by people from all walks of life, the CEO said.
