CHENNAI: The Central Government has taken a decision to revive the Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor, Cenral Research Institute, Kasauli and BGC Vaccine Laboratory, Guindy, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said.

“The licences of these institutes can be revived and production of vaccine restarted once necessary works/ modifications are carried out to make them comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP),” the Minister stated in his letter to CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member T.K. Rangarajan, who had written to him seeking renewal of licences of these public sector institutes.
