Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Consumer Cause (CCC) has appealed to the Minister for Higher Education, to ensure that Anna University, Chennai, considered conducting supplementary examinations for students in the final semester.
A memorandum from K. Kathirmathiyon, Secretary of CCC, said that some students who got placements and secured good marks in the earlier semesters but had failed in one or two subjects in the final semester are now forced to lose the opportunity of joining the jobs.
The Government policy was to help the students to the maximum and avoid wasting their precious years. Students who had failed in one or two subjects, even in the final examination of X and XII standards were given opportunityby conducting immediate supplementary examination.

CCC had also petitioned the Director of Technical Education, Chennai, and Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai, in this connection.
