The Interact Club of Pioneer School here conducted a one-day career guidance programme on Saturday

Inaugurating the programme, Collector Rajendra Ratnoo said that it was important for students to pursue the course that suited them.

He highlighted the difference between attitude and aptitude with an example and exhorted students to choose a career in line with them. Interests should match aptitude and when students take the right career, it would also help the nation for its development.

The programme was part of community projects meant for parents and students in Kanyakumari district to help them in career planning after school studies.

Nedunchezhian, Chief Executive Officer, Technocrats India College Finder, and Rajesh, an educational consultant, spoke on opportunities in the fields of engineering, medicine, law, research in fundamental sciences, hotel management and design available in India and foreign countries.

Correspondent Latha Kumaraswamy and Principal N. Nagarajan among others spoke.

Madhavan Nair, district secretary, Rotary District 3212, Bari, Director Young Generation, Rotary Club, Nagercoil and others participated, besides a large number of students, parents and Rotarians.
