To create awareness on the increasing number of cancer patients across the globe due to lifestyle changes, environmental factors, stress and genetic mutation the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Namakkal, recently organised an awareness rally to stress on the importance of prevention of cancer.

Over 500 students from different colleges, inner wheel members and members of IMA participated in the rally that began at the Clock Tower and ended at Nala Hotel on Tiruchi Road. Doctors addressed the gathering on the importance of screening and prevention of cancer in scientific sessions that were conducted after the awareness rally.
