DMDK demands restoration of the service

TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi district women's wing unit of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) has criticised the cancellation of the Tiruchi-Mangalore express train and threatened to launch agitations if the Railways failed to concede its demand to restore the train service.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the women's wing held here on Thursday.

Another resolution decided to intensify the campaign to enrol more active women members.Over 56,000 women were enrolled in the recent past and about two lakh more would be enrolled in the next six months.

The district secretary of the women's wing unit, Mahalakshmi Ilanchezhian presided and the district secretary of the party, M. Natarajan spoke.
